The 1993 NHL Draft featured the massive hype of Alexandre Daigle at #1. While he struggled to meet expectations, the rest of the first round was spectacular, led by Hall of Famer Chris Pronger (#2) and Paul Kariya (#4). Saku Koivu (#21) and Todd Bertuzzi (#23) became franchise icons, while Rob Niedermayer (#5) and Viktor Kozlov (#6) enjoyed long careers. Later rounds yielded Pavol Demitra (227th) and Kimmo Timonen (250th). Overall, while 1993 is often associated with the "bust" of the top pick, it was a prolific class that produced legendary leaders and some of the most skilled wingers of the era.
