The head coach of the senior Team Russia
has invited 27 players who will compete for the spots on the roster for
the second stage of Euro Hockey Tour. The ex-participants of the Czech
Euro Hockey Tour, defensemen Yudin (Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik), Evstafyev (Cherepovets
Severstal) and Petrochinin (Cherepovets Severstal) haven't got a call-up
into the team. Boris Mikhailov has also invited an experienced defenseman
Vasilyev Alexey who has been playing in the North America for several
years. The current leaders among the forwards of Russian hockey Savchenkov
Alexander (Dynamo Moscow) and Sushinsky Max (Omsk Avangard) has turned
down the invitations because of injuries. Some days earlier Sushinsky has
got pneumonia.
