Russian
Junior World Championships in preparation
From December
26,2000 to January 5,2001, one of the most prestigious hockey tournaments
in the world will be held in Moscow. The best junior athletes of Canada,
USA, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic will compete for the gold
medal at the Junior World Championships. The games will be played in
Krylia Soviets Luzhniky ice palaces in Moscow and in the newly built
Vityaz Arena in Podolsk near Moscow.
The
Russian TV company Center TV has won rights tobroadcast the games, serving as host broadcaster to theworld. The tickets will soon go on sale. One-game ticket for thepreliminaries will cost not more than 100 roubles.
