From
December 17 to 20, 2000, in Moscow, the international tournament of Four
Nations will be held. The head coach of team Russia named 30 candidates
who will be preparing for the tournament in Novogorsk.Only 23 players will make the team (2 goaltenders, 8 defensemen and
13 forwards). Kazakh-born Vadim Tarasov, Andrei Yevstafyev, Sergey Zimakov
and former NHLer Dmitry Nabokov were called-up to make Team Russia for the
first time. Ilya Byakin is again on Russian Team since the time he has
been playing for it six years ago.
