Preparations of the Second Russian All-Star Game
The first Russian All-Star game held in Novokuznetsk, last year, was a great
success by all means and there is no need to remind how popular ice hockey is among
Russian fans. That game ended in a friendly 8:8 tie and all the participants of the
festivity were quite happy with the result. Now time has come to organize the next Russian
hockey show.
The possibility of including export players in the event is discussed by the
organizing committee. They want the show to be similar to what the NHL does. It's planned
to change the format of the game. Legionnaires, which is how foreign players are called in
Russia, will compete against the native players. The place and the date of the second
All-Star Game is still debated but it should take place exactly before the Baltic Cup, the
third stage of the Eurohockey tour, held in Moscow. Omsk city could possibly be the host
of the All-Star festivities. Here is the probable list of players who will make the teams
