André Racicot is the leader of the Canadian
colony
The head coach of Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, Nickolay Solovyev, comments on the play
of André Racicot, "With the coming of Racicot, who demonstrated excellent play in
some recent games such as against SKA St. Petersburg and Severstal Cherepovets, our guys
believed in their abilities and power. Moreover I admire the skills of André. Our
defensemen and forwards gave a sigh of relief because now they know that there is no need
to worry about the guy who is in the net. I’m very happy. It was difficult to play
without good goaltending in the Russian Superleague. As a result we were left at the
bottom of the tournament standing, and now we are 12th but this is not the
end."
