CANADIAN SQUAD COMES TO RUSSIA
Russian hockey clubs are preparing for a series of games against a Canadian Squad. The
Canadians regard this tour as good training for the 2000 World Championships, which will
be held in St. Petersburg. Their team consists of the best minor league players and some
former NHLers. Among them will be four players who took part in the 1999 World
Championships held in Norway.
The tour starts on November 10. The Canadians will play against
Lada Togliatti. Then they go to play Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod on
November 11, Torpedo Yaroslavl on November 13, Severstal
Cherepovetson November 14 and finally SKA St. Petersburg on November 15.
