GOALIE ANDRÉ RACICOT JOINS A RUSSIAN TEAM
Canadians discover the charm of Russian Hockey.

The governing body of "Neftekhimik” Nizhnekamsk is determined to solve its goaltending’ problem. They'll do this by bringing 30-year-old Canadian netminder André Racicot, a former Habs’ back-up goalie, to the team. He will be the sixth Canadian export in the Russian Hockey Super League. Besides him, there are defensemen Chris Coveny (“Avangard” Omsk), Cory Murphy (“Salavat Yulayev”), Steven Willson (“Salavat Yulayev”), forward Steven Zorick (“Avangard” Omsk) and a well-known former NHL goaltender Vincent Riendeau (“Lada” Togliatti).
