Under-17 Team Russia (‘85 birthdates)

 

After a terrible failure at the 01/02 Challenge Cup in Canada (6th place) which is considered unofficial Under-17 World Junior Championships Team Russia has been utterly reorganized.  Former Russia ’s head coach Kazakevich Nickolay has been replaced by Kryuchkov Vladimir. Nearly all the defensive corps is making its debut on the team. Two new goaltenders have been also invited for a try-out. The core of the team consists of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl hockey school products which is considered one of the best in Russia . The main task is to prepare this team for the 2003 Under-18 WJC which will be held in Russian hockey town Yaroslavl .
