Renaissance of the second senior national Team of
Russia.
Russian
Ice Hockey Federation officials have revived the old Soviet hockey
tradition of forming the second senior national team which is supposed to
be a great helper for the main Team Russia in the nearest future.The officials have realized that they have to give the players of
their country some more chances to gain invaluable experience at the
international level. Former great of Soviet hockey Alexander Yakushev is
appointed head coach. On November 8-10, 2001 the second Team of Russia
will compete at the “Three Nations” tournament in Switzerland.
