GRETZKY'S FORTUNE
According to reports from HockeyZonePlus (www.surf.to/hockeyzone),
Wayne Gretzky accumulated a fortune of more than $43M over the years.
Obviously, that doesn't include his publicity contracts and the money he made outside of
hockey. Following him on the list are Mark Messier (37M), Mario Lemieux (31M), Eric
Lindros (31M) and Joe Sakic (29M). With the salaries paid nowadays, those figures will be
quickly beaten in the next few years.
