2002-2003 NHL Goalie Preview
Published in early September 2002

This article is going to analyze the "goalie depth" for each of the 30 NHL teams for 2002-03.  The depth of a team is based on 4 goalies :

- The number 1
- The Back-up
- The prospect
- The insurance policy

If a team has goalies to fill each role ; no problem between the posts.  But, if a team is missing one piece of the puzzle; WARNING!

The teams have been ranked following this method;

bulletOne goalie has been selected to fill one position.  A goalie can't be at 2 places.
bulletThe goalies have been ranked from 1 to 5 based on their ability to fill the respective roles.
bulletThe ranking is based on the following ratios ;

- 60% for Number 1
- 20% for Back-Up
- 15% for Prospect
- 5%  for Insurance policy
