After awarding huge contracts to 5 free agents (Fleury, Kamensky, Lefebvre, Taylor and
Quintal) during the summer, spending over $US 60M over 4 years, the GM of the NY Rangers
went to a NHL Governors meeting where, obviously, he wasn’t very popular. Some days
later, he told a player’s agent :"I should have been wearing a bulletproof vest!"
